The Deputy Ground Operations Manager works closely and deputizes when needed the Ground Operation Manager and is responsible in overseeing ground handling services and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of ground operations at the designated airports.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Enforce safety procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all ground operations staff.
• Provide effective internal and external communication to ensure coordination and compliance with IOSA standards.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Analyze company’s specific standards deviations and proceed to corrective actions.
• Monitor safety standards in respect to risk tolerability of operations within the scope of ground operation.
• Liaise with airline partners, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues and address customer concerns promptly on 24/7 basis.
• Foster a culture of excellence in customer service among ground operations staff to enhance passenger satisfaction.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of ground operations personnel.
• Schedule and allocate manpower efficiently to meet operational demands.
• Evaluate the performance of subcontracted service providers to ensure the proper delivering the contractual services.
• Communicate performance scorecards on Domestic and International stations.
• Create performance reports, analyse the root cause and follow corrective actions.
• Assure adequate allocation of resources for the fulfilment of the ground operations department objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in ground operations management within the airline industry.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards.
• In depth Knowledge of SGHA structure and experience in Contracts negotiations with GSP and cost analysis.
• DAQCP and IFQP audit qualification and experience are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to travel when necessary.
• Fluency in oral and written English.
• A Second language will be considered an asset.
