The Data Engineer is responsible for building robust data pipelines and architecture and has passion for working with data and building systems that can handle large-scale, complex data sets.

This is a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure, ensuring efficient data flow and supporting company’s data analytics and business intelligence efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure the timely delivery of data.
• Develop and optimize database structures to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing.
• Implement data integration solutions to connect various data sources.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data cleansing, validation, and transformation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain and optimize existing data processes to improve efficiency and reduce latency.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere best practices for data engineering.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
• Document data processes, system architectures, and data flow diagrams.
• Work with various stakeholders to ensure the availability, reliability, and quality of data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Data Engineer, Data Infrastructure Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure) and their data solutions.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
