- Εφαρμόζεις αυτοματοποίηση για patching, αναβαθμίσεις, backup και διαδικασίες ανάκτησης
- Εξασφαλίζεις αυστηρές πρακτικές ασφαλείας δεδομένων, όπως έλεγχος πρόσβασης, κρυπτογράφηση και συμμόρφωση
- Αναπτύσσεις scripts και λύσεις αυτοματοποίησης για μείωση χειροκίνητης εργασίας και βελτίωση αποδοτικότητας
Βασικές προϋποθέσεις
- Διαχείριση PostgreSQL, MongoDB και CockroachDB σε παραγωγικά περιβάλλοντα
- Γνώση Terraform, Ansible, Git/GitLab και αυτοματοποίηση CI/CD
- Δεξιότητες scripting σε Bash και Python για αυτοματοποίηση βάσεων δεδομένων και υποδομής
- Βελτιστοποίηση απόδοσης βάσης δεδομένων, κλιμάκωση και στρατηγικές υψηλής διαθεσιμότητας
- Εμπειρία σε Linux/Unix περιβάλλοντα και ασφάλεια δεδομένων

Περιγραφή Θέσης
We are looking for a forward-thinking Senior Database Engineer (PostgreSQL / MongoDB / CockroachDB). In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our database environments, combining traditional database administration with modern Infrastructure-as-Code practices. You will play a key role in ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across relational and distributed database systems.
What You'll Be Doing
Support, monitor, troubleshoot, and administer PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and CockroachDB production environments.
Design and manage database infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, following Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
Integrate database provisioning, schema migrations, and maintenance processes into automated CI/CD workflows.
Manage high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, including replication, sharding, and distributed database architectures.
Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize queries, indexing strategies, and database scalability.
Implement automation for patching, upgrades, backups, and recovery processes.
Ensure strong data security practices, including access control, encryption, and compliance requirements.
Develop scripts and automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
What You'll Bring
Strong hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL and MongoDB in production environments.
Experience or strong understanding of CockroachDB and distributed SQL architectures.
Solid DevOps background, including Terraform, Ansible, Git/GitLab, and CI/CD automation.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for database and infrastructure automation.
Deep knowledge of database performance tuning, scaling, and high-availability strategies.
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments and containerized workloads.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and willingness to continuously learn and adopt new technologies.
Nice to Haves
Experience with containerized database administration and orchestration platforms, especially Red Hat OpenShift (including operators).
Familiarity with additional distributed or cloud-native database technologies.
Relevant database or DevOps certifications are a plus.
