d365 f&o infrastructure architect

We are looking for a D365 F&O Infrastructure Architect for our client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure environments that support Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365 F&O systems. You will lead technical architecture decisions, support legacy AX platforms, oversee complex upgrades and migrations, and ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure solutions. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to align infrastructure strategy with business needs and Microsoft’s evolving ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Configure, maintain, and support legacy AX environments (AX4, AX2009, AX2012).

• Perform daily operational tasks, system monitoring, and client support.

• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new installations for AX and D365 F&O.

• Support development, test, and production environments to ensure stability and performance.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define architecture requirements and deliver implementations.

• Troubleshoot issues across AX systems, servers, databases, integrations, and Azure components.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

• Use scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell) to automate tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
  

What You’ll Bring

• Strong background in Microsoft Dynamics AX (AX4/AX2009/AX2012): installation, configuration, integrations, updates, and compatibility management.

• Experience in system administration and infrastructure planning across on-premises and cloud environments.

• Solid understanding of SQL Server: high availability, scripting, performance tuning, backups, SSRS/SSAS/SSIS.

• Good knowledge of Azure: server sizing, performance troubleshooting, disk selection, monitoring setup.

• Good knowledge of Windows Server OS (2008–2022): installation, updates, Hyper-V, Citrix/XenApp, RDS, WVD.

• Familiarity with security tools such as Antivirus, Snow, Nessus, Crowdstrike, Tenable.

• Experience with AX-integrated solutions: RFSmart, Transform/PrecisionForms, PTX extension for D365 F&O.

• Ability to coordinate complex technical projects and manage client communication effectively.

• Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell or similar).
