We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer on behalf of our client. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in penetration testing and industrial protocols with a solid understanding of security standards and risk assessment methodologies. You will play a key role in the technical coordination of projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and vendors to enhance the cybersecurity posture of critical infrastructure systems.
Your Day-to-Day
Requirements analysis, design, and review of cybersecurity implementations in Operational Technology (OT) environments.
Risk assessment and evaluation of cybersecurity threats in OT systems.
Technical coordination of cybersecurity projects.
Preparation of technical documentation, reports, and proposals.
Participation in working groups and evaluation of technical proposals from vendors.
Your Key Strengths
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Applied Sciences, Computer Science, or related field.
Master’s degree and/or high-level certifications in: Network and Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, ICS Security (e.g. SANS)
Minimum 2 years of experience in the deployment, configuration, or supervision of industrial environments and processes, with hands-on familiarity with ICS/SCADA systems.
Minimum 1 year of experience conducting Penetration Testing, specifically in industrial environments.
Experience with OT Threat Detection platforms.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPC-UA, IEC 61850
Proficient in Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Management tools.
Understanding and application of security standards such as: IEC 62443, ISO 27019, NIST SP 800-5
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
