Βασικές προϋποθέσεις
- 3+ χρόνια εμπειρίας
- Ικανότητα ανάπτυξης με COBOL, JCL και SQL σε περιβάλλοντα DB2 ή παρόμοια
- Εμπειρία σε περιβάλλοντα mainframe όπως IBM z/OS, CICS και VSAM
- Κατανόηση του κύκλου ζωής ανάπτυξης λογισμικού (SDLC) και πρακτικών version control
- Ισχυρές αναλυτικές και δεξιότητες debugging
- Ικανότητα επικοινωνίας και συνεργασίας σε ομάδες με τεχνικούς και μη τεχνικούς συμμετέχοντες

Περιγραφή Θέσης
We are looking for a COBOL Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing business-critical applications built on COBOL-based systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement of legacy and core business systems.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, code, test, and maintain applications using COBOL on mainframe or midrange systems.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient, reliable program logic.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and system errors.
Collaborate with analysts, testers, and system engineers to deliver stable and accurate solutions.
Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects where COBOL systems integrate with newer technologies.
Document code, processes, and technical changes to ensure clarity and maintainability.
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience in COBOL development, maintenance, or support roles.
Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and SQL (DB2 or similar relational databases).
Experience with mainframe environments such as IBM z/OS, CICS, and VSAM.
Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and version control practices.
Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
