At Shopflix, we are not just moving boxes; we are building the smartest marketplace in Greece. We are looking for a Senior Chapter Lead to guide our Data & ML professionals.

In our Agile/Spotify-model organization, you will act as a "Player-Coach". You will lead a talented chapter of Data Engineers and ML specialists, while getting your hands dirty architecting high-performance data pipelines and serving infrastructure using Python and Golang.

🧩 What You Will Do

• People & Chapter Leadership (50%)

  • Grow the Talent: Mentor and coach the members of the Data Chapter. Conduct 1:1s, set growth paths, and foster a culture of technical excellence.

  • Best Practices: Define and evangelize coding standards, architectural patterns, and MLOps practices across the Tribes.

  • Hiring: Lead the recruitment efforts to scale the Data Chapter with top-tier talent.
     

• Technical Leadership & Contribution (50%)

  • Architect: Design robust ML pipelines and real-time data processing systems.

  • The "Right Tool" Approach: Leverage Python for Data Science, ML training, and processing, and Golang for high-throughput data ingestion, microservices, and low-latency model serving.

  • Productionize: Bridge the gap between "notebook code" and production-grade software. Ensure our systems can handle millions of requests (and the occasional DDoS!) without breaking a sweat.

✅ Requirements

• 5+ years in Software Engineering/Data Engineering, with at least 1-2 years leading technical teams or mentoring juniors.

• Deep expertise in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, FastAPI/Django).

• Solid production experience with Golang (Concurrency patterns, High-performance APIs).

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for ML models.

• Strong grasp of SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL/Search engines (Elasticsearch, Redis, or Mongo).

• You understand that "code that works" isn't enough; it has to be maintainable, scalable, and secure.

• Experience with Recommendation Systems or Personalized Search in a Marketplace/E-commerce environment.

• Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

• Public cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
