We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to contribute to the design of mission-critical Command & Control (C2 / C4ISR) systems used in real-time operational environments.
In this role, you will design user experiences that support situational awareness, fast decision-making, and operator confidence in complex, data-intensive systems. The focus is on clarity, usability, and resilience under demanding conditions.
You will collaborate closely with system engineers, software developers, and domain experts to transform complex operational workflows and sensor data into intuitive, effective user interfaces.
What You’ll Do
Design operator-centric UI/UX for mission-critical command, control, and monitoring systems
Translate complex, real-time data into clear, actionable visual representations
Create user flows, wireframes, interaction models, and prototypes for complex applications
Apply human-machine interaction (HMI) and usability principles in time-critical environments
Work with engineering teams to align UI behavior with operational concepts (CONOPS)
Support usability evaluations, operator feedback sessions, and iterative design refinement
Ensure consistency, clarity, and robustness across interfaces and system states
Contribute to and maintain a design system for long-lifecycle platforms
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in UI/UX design for complex or technical systems
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant design field or equivalent practical experience
Strong understanding of usability and human factors in operational or safety-critical contexts
Experience designing data-dense interfaces (dashboards, control panels, monitoring tools)
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma or similar
Ability to explain and defend design decisions to multidisciplinary teams
High attention to detail and consistency
Comfortable working within structured, regulated development processes
Nice to Have
Experience with C2, defense, security, aerospace, or industrial control systems
Background in human factors engineering, HCI, or cognitive ergonomics
Experience with dark-mode, low-light, or night-operation UI design
Familiarity with alarm management, alerts, and system state visualization
Knowledge of standards such as MIL-STD-1472, ISO 9241, or similar
What we offer
Competitive remuneration package
Private Medical Insurance package
Continuous learning in new technologies
Opportunity to work in large-scale projects with talented people
