The Health & Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment across Raycap’s industrial facilities in Drama. The role focuses on identifying and evaluating potential workplace hazards, implementing preventive measures, and training company personnel on health and safety regulations and best practices.
This role reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
Identify, assess, and evaluate occupational health & safety risks across industrial facilities.
Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance and external health & safety service providers, supporting effective coordination and alignment with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments in production and support areas.
Develop, implement, and monitor health & safety policies, procedures, and preventive measures.
Ensure compliance with Greek and EU health & safety legislation and applicable standards.
Design and deliver health & safety training sessions for employees at all levels.
Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the organization.
Maintain health & safety documentation, records, and reports required by internal policies and regulatory authorities.
Support emergency preparedness planning and drills (fire safety, evacuation, first aid, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Production Engineering, or related field).
Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of occupational health & safety legislation and standards.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
Ability to train, communicate, and influence employees on health & safety matters.
Very good command of Greek and English (written and spoken).
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
Desirable Qualifications:
Certification as a Safety Engineer / Health & Safety Professional.
Experience in industrial facilities with electrical or mechanical equipment.
Familiarity with ISO standards related to health & safety (e.g., ISO 45001).
