We're expanding our SEO capability in-house and looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to join our Digital Acquisition team. This is a hands-on role; you'll own SEO execution across one of Greece's largest retail e-commerce platforms, working across technical, content and off-page disciplines with real visibility into performance and real ownership of outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute the SEO roadmap across technical, on-page and content dimensions
Conduct and prioritise technical SEO audit; for example: crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data implementation, Prerender/JS rendering issues
Identify and act on keyword/content opportunities; both optimising existing landing pages and briefing new ones where search demand exists but content doesn't
Conduct competitor and keyword gap analysis to identify untapped organic opportunities
Work closely with the content and web development teams to brief, implement and QA SEO changes
Monitor GSC, GA4 and rank tracking tools daily, flagging anomalies, drops and opportunities proactively
Build and maintain category and landing page SEO briefs for key commercial periods (Back to School, Black Friday, Christmas, etc.)
Work with marketing teams to ensure a cohesive strategy
Track and adapt to algorithm updates and changes in how Google surfaces content
Stay current on GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and AI search developments, understanding how content is surfaced in AI search and adapting strategy accordingly
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of hands-on SEO experience; agency or in-house
Proven experience with technical and content SEO; you've resolved crawl issues, fixed indexing problems and worked with developers to implement fixes, not just flagged them
Strong understanding of Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and at least one SEO software tool (Ahrefs, Semrush)
Experience with structured data/schema markup (e.g. Product, Review, FAQ, Breadcrumb) and how these apply in AI search
Solid keyword research and content briefing skills
Experience in e-commerce or retail SEO is a significant plus, understanding filtered navigation, category page optimisation, and crawl budget management at scale
Awareness of GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation); how content performs in AI-generated search answers (e.g. ChatGPT, Perplexity) and what it means for organic strategy
Good communication skills in Greek and English; you'll be briefing developers, writing content recommendations and presenting findings to stakeholders
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and tools
Basic understanding of website structure and HTML. (Beneficial but not essential)
Any demonstrable SEO experience (e.g., personal projects, blogs, volunteer work) is highly desirable
