Background
Within EMEA there are 42 countries where there is the requirement to source Controllers and Electrical components not manufactured in Otis for mainly Mod projects. This may be for specific existing competitor elevators that Otis require to upgrade or new Customer projects with specialist requirements. Across EMEA this is a substantial spend with clear potential for improved performance via a specialist category management approach.
In 2025 the Supply Chain structure is transforming to centralize this area of sourcing. Previously led within each country, now a specialist will lead on the procurement across all countries, focusing first on the highest spend areas / repetitive nature of the requests.
