Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible to maintain all aspects of the organisation's global Windows systems including software, hardware and respective provider services.

• Interact with users as a third level of escalation to the Corporate IT Support

• Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding when issues occur

• Plan, design, and implement Windows-based systems, including servers, workstations, and applications.

• Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems are secure and running efficiently.

• Configure and manage network components related to Windows systems, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.

• Develop and enforce security policies, conduct regular system audits, and implement security measures to protect Windows systems from threats and vulnerabilities.

• Monitor system performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency and reliability.

• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.

• Work closely with other IT staff and departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT systems.

• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures.

• Work with IT Management to assess the organisation's current and future Windows systems related needs.

• Prepare and communicate regular reports on work-related activities, within IT team and across departments as needed.

• Provide training and support to users and IT staff on Windows systems-related issues. This includes conducting training sessions, creating user guides, and providing technical support as needed.

• On Call / Stand By duties

• All other duties as assigned.

Education / Required Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or similar relevant degree.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Windows systems administration in a large-scale environment.

• Experience in IT projects related to large company acquisitions/mergers would be desirable.

• Professional Certifications (Beneficial) a. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) b. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and other Windows-related technologies.

• Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

• Proficiency with Data Center environments

• Proficiency with administrating enterprise servers' hardware (e.g. Dell PowerEdge), storage arrays (e.g. NetApp) and backup systems (e.g. Veeam).

• Experience with systems and networks observability/monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix and Grafana

• Strong experience with Tanium or other configuration management/deployment tooling

• Good understanding of network technologies including VPNs, VLANs, routing, subnetting and firewalls

• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP

• Solid knowledge with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure or AWS.

• Understanding of ITIL practices and experience in an ITIL environment.

• Experience implementing and managing security best practices, including security audits.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a collaborative and cooperative approach to problemsolving. This includes the ability to work with other IT professionals, vendors, and service providers.

• Focus on delivery and high tolerance in working under pressure

• Must be willing and able to travel, work after hours and weekends when required.
