quant analyst

We are looking for a Quant Analyst that will be responsible for creating pre-match and in-play sports betting forecasting models.

The Goal 

• Create and improve models for pre-match and in-play betting markets.

• Implement models in object-oriented programming language.

• Maintain and own data processing services.

• Evaluate and integrate new data feeds.

• Own trading solutions services such as alerting, reporting and trading apps.

• Work with and improve deployment pipelines on cloud resources.

• Contribute to code review and QA processes.

• Research and apply new technologies including AI, and train colleagues in these methods.  

• Collaborate closely with product owners and software developers to move projects from idea to integration.

• Communicate with stakeholders the key elements that govern the models and solutions.
   

The Player

Essential

Qualifications

• A postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field.

• 3+ years of working experience or a PhD in a quantitative field.

• Advanced programming skills: (a) object-oriented programming (C# or Python) and (b) databases (SQL and NoSQL).

• Experience with various modelling techniques (e.g. Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Bayesian Inference, Time-Series Analysis etc.)

• A demonstrable interest in developing forecasting models for sports.

• A good understanding of betting concepts and markets.

Desirable

Qualifications

• 2+ years working experience in the betting industry.

• Knowledge of modern Machine Learning methodologies (e.g. Neural Networks, Random Forests, GBMs, SVMs etc.).

• Experience with cloud computing services.

• Experience with version control platforms (e.g. GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket etc.)

• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
