To support the Chef de Partie in the efficient operation of a designated kitchen section, ensuring consistent food quality, adherence to hygiene standards, and smooth day-to-day service.
Duties & Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Service:
• Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Take responsibility for specific tasks or sub-sections within the assigned kitchen section
• Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation meet brand standards
• Support service periods by maintaining speed, accuracy, and consistency
Kitchen Operations:
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
• Monitor stock levels and assist with requisitions and storage procedures
• Minimize food wastage and follow cost-control measures
Team Support & Training:
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants as required
• Assist in training junior staff on basic cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Health, Safety & Compliance:
• Adhere to all health, safety, and fire regulations
• Follow company policies, standard operating procedures, and kitchen guidelines
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or quality concerns promptly
