The Project Manager, Engineering is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering and capital improvement projects within the resort’s-built environment. This individual ensures that all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, aesthetics, legislation and sustainability—aligned with the brand’s ultra-luxury positioning. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional departments, consultants, and contractors to maintain and elevate the physical environment and guest experience. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Project Management:
•    Lead end-to-end project management for capital improvements, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and new construction within the resort.
•    Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with brand standards and operational needs.
•    Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution, within budget, and with minimal disruption to resort operations.
Design & Quality Oversight:
•    Collaborate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and consultants to maintain the ultra-luxury aesthetic and functional integrity of all physical spaces.
•    Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and material selections.
•    Ensure quality control through rigorous site inspections and compliance with design intent and construction best practices.
Budgeting & Procurement:
•    Prepare capital expenditure proposals and cost estimates for management approval.
•    Manage vendor and contractor bids, procurement, and contracts in accordance with internal policies.
•    Track expenditure and manage financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Compliance & Safety:
•    Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, fire and environmental standards, and internal SOPs.
•    Coordinate permitting and regulatory approvals where required.
Stakeholder Communication:
•    Serve as the primary liaison between the Engineering Department and other departments (e.g., Operations, Housekeeping, F&B, Spa).
•    Provide regular updates and reporting to Director of facilities and the resort’s leadership on project status, risks, and milestones.
•    Coordinate with resort operations to minimize guest impact during construction or renovation periods.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•    Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
•    3+ years of project management experience in hospitality, high-end residential, or luxury resort environments.
•    Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methodologies, MEP systems, and sustainable building practices.
•    Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar), AutoCAD/Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
•    Excellent organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.
•    Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for luxury design and exceptional execution.
•    Strong leadership with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
•    Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and hands-on.
