The Housekeeper / Houseman is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. The role contributes directly to the overall guest experience by creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment while following the hotel's quality and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to the hotel's standards.
Change bed linens, replenish amenities, towels, and room supplies.
Ensure all assigned areas are clean, organized, and ready for guest arrivals.
Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly.
Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently when required.
Collaborate closely with the Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
Requirements
Previous experience in housekeeping within a hotel environment will be considered an asset.
Basic understanding of housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
