data engineer (databricks expert)

NTT Data Greece is looking a Data Engineer (Databricks Expert) to join digital transformation projects that combine distributed data processing, cloud architectures, automation, DevOps practices, and collaboration with multicultural teams.

Your role: 

• Design, develop, and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes on cloud environments and modern data platforms.

• Work with Apache Spark on Databricks to process large-scale datasets in distributed environments.

• Design and optimize MongoDB/NoSQL schemas with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Build data pipelines using Delta Lake, Apache Airflow, and Azure Data Factory, ensuring traceability, quality, and efficiency.

• Apply CI/CD best practices, Git version control, and automation techniques in data engineering projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile and DevOps environments, providing technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

• Identify opportunities to improve performance, quality, and productivity within data solutions.

• Share best practices with team members and contribute to raising the overall technical standard of delivered solutions.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering, big data, or cloud-based pipeline development.

• Strong experience with Apache Spark and Databricks.

• Knowledge of MongoDB/NoSQL schema design, optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience with Delta Lake, Apache Airflow, and Azure Data Factory.

• Proficiency in CI/CD best practices, Git, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.

• Ability to analyze complex problems, propose technical solutions, and work independently.

• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in multicultural teams.

• Strong enough English communication skills to collaborate in international environments.
