Our team is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with experience in complex IT infrastructures in big Datacentres, in Athens to work with client/s in the European Public sector such as European Commission European Patent Office, European Medicines Agency, United Nations.

The position requires 50% on-site presence in Strasbourg, France.

Your role:   

• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Administer and optimize virtual environments using VMware and OpenShift platforms.
•  Monitor system performance and address infrastructure issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with teams to implement infrastructure solutions aligned with project goals.
• Ensure infrastructure security and compliance through updates and best practices.
• Contribute to automation efforts using tools like Ansible and Kubernetes.
• Create and review infrastructure documentation related to virtual environment architecture and operational procedures.
• Support disaster recovery planning and backup procedures. 

Your profile:   

• Solid background and experience in deploying and/or operating an infrastructure based on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or Kubernetes.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Ansible automation.
• Good understanding on server virtualisation technologies (VMware vSphere) and related storage solutions.
• Familiar with GitOps deployment strategies, by using ArgoCD.
• Exposure to infrastructure monitoring, Disaster Recovery practices, and backup procedures for virtual or bare-metal environments.
• ITIL knowledge or certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with RHEL and scripting is a plus.
• Comfortable when working on projects with strict delivery dates.
• Excellent command of the English language.
