NTT Data Greece team is looking for an Infrastructure Manager in Athens to work with our clients in the European public sector.  

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure. This role ensures that all IT systems, including networks, servers, and data centers, operate efficiently and securely to support the organization’s operations and future growth. 

Your role: 

• Ensuring all IT infrastructure components are operating efficiently through regular monitoring, performance tuning, and maintenance. 
• Developing and executing strategies to align IT infrastructure with business objectives, forecasting future needs, and planning for scalability. 
• Implementing and managing security measures to protect the organization’s IT environment from threats, including setting up firewalls and managing access controls. 
• Managing and leading a team of IT professionals, setting goals, providing guidance, and fostering professional development. 
• Collaborating with external vendors to procure hardware, software, and services; negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships. 
• Overseeing the IT infrastructure budget, making decisions on investments in new technologies, and managing operational costs. 
• Implementing monitoring solutions to track performance and health of IT systems; optimizing configurations for better performance and reliability. 
• Developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure quick recovery from unexpected outages or data loss.

Your profile: 

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management with a proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects. 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informational Technology, or a related field. 
• Preferred certifications: ITIL, PMP, or specific technology certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft). 
• Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure components (networks, servers, storage systems, data centers), virtualization, database management, and operating systems. 
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls. 
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and oversee infrastructure projects aligning IT infrastructure with business objectives. 
• Strategic planning skills for forecasting future needs and integrating new technologies. 
• Leadership skills to manage and develop a team of IT professionals. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 
• Experience in vendor management and overseeing IT infrastructure budgets. 
• Fluency in English (B2 level minimum); knowledge of another European language is a plus. 
• EU citizenship is required.
