Our team is looking for a motivated and experienced Cloud Engineer in Athens to work with our clients in the European Public sector such as European Commission European Patent Office, European Medicines Agency and United Nations.
You will play a critical role in modernizing legacy architectures and driving automation to create seamless, efficient systems. From migrating products using tools like Kubernetes to designing and implementing fully automated pipelines, you'll collaborate with technical architects and operational teams to transform our Data Center into a cutting-edge environment.
Your role:
- Automate repetitive tasks and oversee the migration of products using container technology such as Kubernetes.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure with tools like vRealize Automation.
- Reverse-engineer legacy systems, identifying weaknesses in security, reliability, performance, and operational agility, and design solutions to address them.
- Collaborate with technical architects and operational teams to ensure smooth transitions and optimized architectures.
- Support the transformation of the Data Center into a Continuous Delivery pipeline, focusing on automation, resiliency, and operational agility.
- Handle on-call support in a 24/7 shift model, ensuring incidents are resolved within SLA constraints.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cloud engineering.
- Experience in container provisioning platforms such as Kubernetes and automation solutions like Jenkins, Ansible, or GitLab (preferably vRA).
- Basic understanding of programming/scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash).
- Understanding of ITIL functions and processes.
- Knowledge of ArgoCD and familiarity with service design for cloud-based solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Kubernetes certification.
- Knowledge of computer networking and virtualization, with experience in tools like vSphere and NSX-T.
