data-driven underwriting specialist

We are looking for a motivated Data-Driven Underwriting Specialist to optimize underwriting processes through digitalization data mining and automation. You will analyze and improve underwriting operations and coordinate with IT for solutions.

Your day-to-day:

• Risk assessment of customer’s insurability on New Business
• Administration and preservation of sensitive personal data
• User Acceptance Testing
• Liaise with Underwriting department, MLRO, Sales and Team Heads
• Extract and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform underwriting decisions
• Lead and support projects aimed at integrating digital tools and technologies into the underwriting process to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Work closely with IT, data science, and other departments to implement data-driven solutions and ensure seamless integration of new technologies
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data analytics, digital transformation, and underwriting to continuously improve processes and methodologies
• Ensure all underwriting activities comply with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation of processes and decisions

Desired Skills/Experience:

• University degree. A Master degree is desirable
• Very good knowledge of English language
• Very good command of Office365
• Advanced skills in Power Automation tools and Business analysis
• Minimum 2 years of previous working experience in relevant position will be considered an asset
• Optional knowledge of underwriting
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or Agile methodology will be considered an asset
