We are currently looking for a Permitting Engineer to join our Development team in M Renewables business unit.  

Your role will encompass:

  • Possess strong knowledge of environmental and licensing legislation for Storage and Renewable Energy (RE) projects.
  • Manage application submissions to RAAEY, IPTO, HEDNO, and other authorities for permits, forestry studies, and protocols.
  • Prepare submission files for permits, connection offers, and DAPEEP registration.
  • Use AutoCAD and GIS to define boundaries and technical specifications for RE project designs.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify licensing process issues, and report to the Director.
  • Plan and execute actions to ensure smooth licensing progress for managed projects.
  • Evaluate new project proposals, recommend actions, and review necessary studies for compliance.
  • Conduct site inspections and liaise with Public Authorities and stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate with external partners under the Director's guidance.
  • Track updates from relevant authorities and report decisions impacting company projects.
  • Participate in public consultations for draft RE laws.

What you bring to the role:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Energy, Environmental Science, or related fields is benefitial
  • 3+ years of experience in licensing, permitting, or regulatory processes for Renewable Energy or Storage projects. Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Strong understanding of environmental and energy-related legislation and licensing requirements.
  • Experience in preparing technical documents, forestry studies, and environmental reports.
  • Ability to plan, monitor, and execute project schedules and licensing processes effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues in permitting and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (and local language, if required).
  • High level of accuracy in document preparation and review.
  • Travelling is required
