METKA ΑΤΕ, as a subsidiary of METLEN, has long-term experience in the infrastructure sector, holding a seventh class contractor’s certificate and now specializes in construction activities, undertaking infrastructure projects such as road construction, certified buildings, railway, marine projects, etc., as well as solid and liquid waste management projects.

We are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our METKA HR team.

Your role will encompass:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processes for employees, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations.
• Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to meet all payroll deadlines without delays.
• Lead and support payroll-related projects, collaborating across departments to achieve timely and successful execution.
• Continuously improve payroll processes by implementing best practices and driving automation where applicable.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external partners to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Prepare and deliver detailed payroll reports and analytics to senior management, ensuring transparency and regulatory alignment.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies or escalated issues by conducting root cause analysis and applying corrective measures.

What you bring to the role:

• 5+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years specializing in payroll in manufacturing or construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation, tax systems, and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
• A Master's degree (MSc or MBA) is considered an asset.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects with a solution-oriented mindset.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
