We are currently looking for an Deputy Site Manager to join our team based in Kavala.
Your role will encompass:
- Monitor the project and report to METKA's project management team (JV project)
- Assist the site manager in performing selected duties
- Monitor budget expenses of the construction site
- Ensure safety of site personnel and machinery for the whole construction period. Ensure compliance with all HSE procedures, applicable by law policies and company policies
- Ensure implementation of the project according to applied specs & standards
- Review and monitor construction progress according to the time schedule
- Maintain familiarity and good knowledge of contracts and documents ensuring that all site works are implemented in accordance with Company’s standards and contractual requirements
- Develop effective relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, consultants, and team members
- Cross functional co-ordination with all disciplines and supportive teams/functions incl. engineering, project management, logistics, quality, HSE as per project’s needs
- Defining and updating the detailed construction plan and schedule, establishing priorities where necessary (in cooperation with the planning engineers)
- Identifies and communicates all application and installation concerns. Communicates concerns back to project management for required resolution and future issue prevention
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
What you bring to the role:
- University degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical)
- High level technical background in construction
- Proven track record in managing construction sites with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Languages: English & Greek essential
- Organizational skills / Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Experience with environmental projects will be considered as a plus
