We are looking for:

Product Specialist - Electricity & Plumbing

The life of a Product Specialist @LEROY MERLIN :

- Analyze the regular performance of the range in order to identify and share the best practices and boost commercial performance

- Proposes product pricing in relation with pricing strategy to Category Leader, and based on the monitoring trough the pricing tool (TGN), in order to boost profitability & competitiveness

- Gather through call for tender the initial purchasing price of new products, collection, promo price when necessary in order to optimize purchasing price

- Put in place the best commercial deals given from category leader

- Analyzes data & Identifies "unsuccessful" products (low sales, customer reviews) in order to optimize % of sold range

- Communicate regularly with store teams during product lifecycle (promo, quality, new range info, supplier issues) in order to facilitate the operations

- Request for discount to suppliers for permanent range in promo in order to develop profitability of promo products

- Accountable for implementation of supplier contracts & commercial agreement (special conditions ex new store opening) in order to boost profitability & suppliers relationship

- Communicate to the supplier the TOP2000 list in order to ensure the max availability

- Communicate with supplier about the selected range and any changes on any status of the range (a, b, top2000, change of flow, avs) in order to develop supplier relationship

- Inform the supplier for any problem regarding the products (difference between what agreed and the reality) in order to find solution for the stores

- Preparing operationally the new collection: upon request analyze the performance of the former range, identify the unsuccessful product, slow movers, decrease prices, responsible of final fiche creation.

 

Cross-functionalities:

- For opecom process he is responsible for validation of pricing regarding competition, write the products benefits ("+ produits"), prices, and provide for opecom the full matrix given to data specialist to register in the system, communicate the opecom conditions to the stores and contract application in order to facilitate operations

- Responsible for creating the retro planning and the coordination of all involving parts for the collection setup process - Communicate to all product community of stores by supporting documentation relevant to each range (Synoptique, pricing, avs list, suppliers terms) upon the launch of the range

- Collects feedbacks regarding the ranges from stores and prepares reports (e.g. regarding complains, shortages, wrong products, feedbacks on products) to optimise the products category operations

- Provide product training materials from suppliers for sales and product trainning specialist in order to increase product knowledge of our teams

- order through Co&GO (if no demand planner) in order to optimize stock level and availability - informs SC team about OPECOMS, seasonality, specific needs to adjust orders and forecasts -Analyze competition leaflet/ file and communicate action plans decided by CL to stores.

We will have the perfect match if you have: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a product environment Experience in cross-functional teams

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business (optional)

  • English

  • MS office environment
