Metropolitan Park Facilities Manager
Based @ The Ellinikon – Metropolitan Park
We are seeking for a highly organized and experienced Facilities Manager to effectively oversee the technical management of the Metropolitan Park.
This role involves coordination with service providers, supervision of maintenance and environmental services and ensuring the Park's facilities operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably.
He or she shall be planning, organizing, supervising & addressing the technical needs and the relevant procedures within the venue.
Our new colleague will be reporting to the Development Director, Metropolitan Park.
In detail, the Metropolitan Park Facilities Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
- Oversee all facility management services including maintenance, cleaning, waste management, landscaping, and utilities
- Support in negotiating and conducting contracts with service providers, suppliers and contractors, including ΟΚΩ, gardening, waste management, pest control, building repairs, procurement of equipment and consumables
- Manage and supervise third-party service providers and internal technical teams
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Ensure that all installations, machinery etc. are being effectively and efficiently maintained by third party contractors as well as by the in-house personnel
- Monitor facility operations budget and assess cost-effective solutions
- Coordinate responses to technical issues, repairs, and emergency situations
- Support procurement processes and project planning within the Metropolitan Park
- Act as the main point of contact for facility-related matters with concessionaires and service providers
- Prepare operational reports and contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement
You will be a successful candidate for our job opening, if you can identify yourself with the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
- University degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil Engineering or a relevant area of study to facilities management. Postgraduate studies (eg. MSc/MBA) would be appreciated
- Fluency in Greek and English language
- Proficient MS Office user
Professional Experience:
- 7- 10 years of professional experience in engineering, at least 3 of which, specifically on Facilities Management
- Good professional experience in contracts management
- Experience in health and safety rules and regulations would be an important asset
- Familiar with reporting and converting business requirements/ needs to numerical data
On a personal side, the ideal candidate has:
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, can work with a diverse group of people by adjusting communication style accordingly
- Strong organizational skills: he or she should be able to set priorities, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously as to meet deadlines
- Has attained strong analytical, reporting, problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Is goal oriented, uses initiative and works effectively under pressure
