Health & Safety Senior Manager

The Health & Safety Senior Manager will be reporting to the Site Management Senior Director.

Our new colleague in this position, will be join to the Site Management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing, and managing health and safety management system, policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, national, and industry regulations as well as Hellinikon’s relevant requirements.
• Leading the health and safety team, conducting risk assessments, training employees, and promoting a strong safety culture on-site.
• Minimizing risks and ensuring the well-being of all personnel involved in the affected project.

In detail, the Health & Safety Senior Manager shall be responsible for the following tasks:

       •      Implement effectively the Health and Safety Management System towards excellent performance.

               Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all legal     

               and contractual safety obligations Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, implementing

               continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety.

       •     Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with

               regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and

               risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

       •     Monitor and evaluate performance of H&S consultants. Provide leadership and direction to the

               health and safety team, ensuring effective coordination and communication of safety initiatives.

        •      Report any deficiencies that may put the project at risk not achieving the zero-tolerance H&S

               targets established for the overall construction program as well as individual projects.

       •     Establish emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for potential

               incidents.

You will be a successful candidate for our job opening, if you can identify yourself with the following criteria:

Academic Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management.
• MBA shall be a plus.
• Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 15 years of leading Health and Safety in high risk companies or organisations. Construction related experience shall be a plus.  
• Demonstrated personal and professional commitment to enforcing a Zero-Tolerance Health & Safety policy.
• Progressively advancing roles that have led to direct support of multi-national teams consisting of in-house staff as well as consultants working as a team on 500 million+ projects.
