As a Sea Logistics Trade Specialist at Kuehne Nagel you are responsible for volume and yield development, carrier negotiation, contract management, and market analysis within the India Subcontinent–Europe trade. Ensure competitive service offerings and manage carrier allocations while supporting country organizations in strategy execution.

Your Responsibilities

• Volume & Yield Development – Enhance KN market share and profitability in alignment with Roadmap 2026. 

• Carrier Management & Negotiation – Procure and manage contracts with nominated carriers, ensuring service excellence and cost efficiency. 

• Market Analysis & Strategy– Analyze trends, develop predictive pricing methodologies, and support country-level go-to-market strategies. 

• Client & Country Engagement – Actively engage with clients, review local markets, and oversee contract implementation. 

• Collaboration & Initiatives – Work closely with Sales, Key Account Management (KAM), and Sea Freight teams to drive growth and align with strategic initiatives. 

• RFQ Ownership – Lead the quotation process and manage key target clients with Sales and Country Management. 

Your Skills and Experiences

• Experience – 5+ years in Trade Management with proven expertise in volume growth, yield development, and operational sea freight knowledge. 

• Strategic & Analytical Skills– Strong market analysis, contract management, and forecasting abilities using intelligence tools (e.g., SCFI, Xeneta). 

• Commercial & Negotiation Skills – High proficiency in stakeholder management, RFQ processes, and key account engagement. 

• Collaboration & Leadership – Ability to work cross-regionally, support strategic initiatives, and align with KN Roadmap 2026. 

• Operational Agility – Comfortable in fast-paced environments, willing to travel frequently for market reviews and client engagements. 

• Language – Fluency in English is mandatory.
