As a Lead Technical Project Manager within the Equities Trading Technology Organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our global platform for market data, orders, and execution meets the highest industry standards. You will collaborate with Engineering Directors and Technical Leads to propose solutions, oversee platform upgrades, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Your technical aptitude and leadership will be key in driving platform updates and supporting cloud migration solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technical team leads across regions to ensure tasks are accurately represented in sprint planning.
- Propose solutions to address technical requirements and oversee platform fixes and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards and direct platform updates.
- Engage with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions and support cloud migration solutions.
- Oversee the commissioning and decommissioning of hardware/software and manage the technology lifecycle.
- Identify and address vulnerabilities within the application stack.
- Ensure adherence to the software development lifecycle and best practices.
- Monitor application performance and usage, implementing improvements as needed.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Five years of experience in project or program management, focusing on technology infrastructure and compliance.
- Good understanding of platform integration, regulatory compliance, and cloud solutions in a financial services environment.
- Experience in managing and executing migration projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering results on time.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
- Technical aptitude to understand the entire application stack and identify critical points for migrations.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Knowledge of control environments and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with technology operations and audit processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Familiarity with a Linux environment is preferred.
- Experience working with Python is desirable.
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in the electronic trading or financial services industry is a plus.
