Intellectica is recruiting a highly motivated Senior Tax Specialist on behalf of a leading Retail Company. Based in Aspropyrgos, Attiki, Greece and reporting to the Head of Tax & Accounting, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely preparation and submission of various tax returns, managing fixed asset accounting, and providing support in day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Efficiently posting expense invoices in the company’s ERP system (SAP) ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies

• Preparing and submitting corporate tax returns including VAT, VIES, INTRASTAT, and Withholding tax in compliance with regulatory requirements

• Managing fixed asset accounting processes including master data creation, depreciation posting, and preparation of monthly and annual reports

• Reconciling supplier balances to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner

• Maintaining day-to-day bookkeeping records accurately and efficiently

• Providing support on various daily accounting tasks as required by the finance team

• Acting as an expert in month and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and deadlines

• Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; a Master’s degree is considered a plus

• At least 2 years of professional experience in tax accounting; experience from Big4 companies is considered a plus

• Proficiency in ERP systems, especially in SAP, is considered a strong advantage

• A strong understanding of corporate tax regulations and compliance

• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite

• Excellent knowledge of English (fluent in both written and spoken English)
