Intellectica is recruiting a Junior Financial Controller on behalf of a leading retailer and producer in the food and beverage industry. This role is based in Attiki, Greece, and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial management of the company, overseeing both finance and accounting functions.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Preparing and maintaining accurate monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Supporting the CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Conducting cost and profitability analysis by product, category, and channel
• Coordinating with internal departments to gather, reconcile, and analyze financial data
• Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of KPIs and financial performance metrics
• Preparing financial models to support strategic and operational decisions
• Collaborating with the accounting team for month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Contributing to the definition and implementation of internal financial controls and procedures
• Participating in the development of dashboards and reports that enhance financial visibility across departments
• Liaising with external auditors and preparing required audit documentation
• Overseeing basic treasury operations, including payment scheduling and bank reconciliations, while ensuring proper approval workflows
• Supporting ERP-related projects and improvements in the financial reporting structure
• Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial controlling or related roles, ideally in commercial or trading companies
• Proven experience working in financial reporting and budgeting processes
• Familiarity with ERP systems – experience with EpsilonNet is preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and interaction with external accounting firms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort with data analysis and report building
• Fluent in Greek with professional-level English communication skills
