Intellectica is recruiting a dedicated and dynamic Import Operator on behalf of a leading freight forwarding company. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece and reporting directly to the Line Manager, the ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless and efficient importation of goods while maintaining compliance with customs regulations and company policies.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Scheduling and booking shipments from overseas, ensuring that goods are picked up, transported, and delivered on time
• Preparing and verifying all necessary import documentation to meet customs and regulatory requirements, helping to secure smooth and compliant customs clearance
• Acting as the primary point of contact between customers, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve any issues, provide updates, and ensure effective shipment tracking
• Maintaining accurate records of shipments in internal systems and generating reports on the status and performance of import operations
• Ensuring that all operations adhere to both internal standards and external regulatory requirements, thereby supporting the company’s commitment to reliable and on-time deliveries
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, and service issues in the CRM system
• Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• 1-3 years of experience in an import/export, customer support, or a similar role, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry
• A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management will be considered a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
• Fluency in Greek, English, and Italian is required
• Completed military obligations (if applicable)
