Intellectica is recruiting an experienced and strategically oriented Head of Procurement on behalf of an internationally recognized group of companies operating in the Aerospace, Defense, Security, and High Technology markets. With a strong international presence, state-of-the-art production facilities, and a commitment to continuous innovation, our client empowers armed and special forces across 71 countries. Based in Attiki, Greece, and reporting directly to the COO, the successful candidate will oversee the procurement strategy, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and sourcing operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the availability of high-quality components and services, optimizing costs, and supporting the timely delivery of complex, high-performance systems.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Shape and execute the strategic procurement roadmap for serial production categories, focusing on complex high-tech materials such as electronic and mechanical components

• Act as a strategic counterpart to the operational/executional purchasing team, ensuring end-to-end supply chain efficiency

• Identify, evaluate, and develop long-term relationships with key suppliers across the US, China, Korea, and other critical regions

• Lead contract negotiations and implement long-term agreements that secure cost advantages, quality standards, and supply continuity

• Develop and enforce robust supplier KPIs and performance metrics to ensure alignment with ISO standards and company goals

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to align procurement strategies with production needs

• Establish and manage strategic sourcing initiatives that support the company’s growth, risk mitigation, and operational excellence

• Monitor global market trends, geopolitical factors, and supply chain risks, proactively adjusting sourcing strategies where needed

• Travel regularly to key suppliers and group sites to strengthen relationships, execute critical negotiations, and ensure supply chain resilience

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is a plus

• At least 8 years of progressive procurement experience, ideally within production or assembly-focused industries

• Demonstrated success in managing complex supply chains and sourcing high-tech materials for serial production

• Deep understanding of supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing best practices

• Practical exposure to global supplier bases

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (advanced MS Excel skills)

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle) and procurement software

• Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal); additional languages are an asset

• Willingness to travel internationally as needed
