Intellectica is recruiting a dynamic Civil Engineer on behalf of a leading group of companies primarily active in the construction sector, known for its innovative projects and commitment to excellence. The group is also involved in public-private partnership contracts, public works, private equity developments, real estate management of its own portfolio, and consulting services in the defense and security industry. Based in Chania, Greece and reporting to both the Managing Director and the Projects Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and coordinating key engineering projects.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Designing and developing building projects using software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Analyzing data like topographic surveys, plans, and maps for effective project planning
• Preparing design specifications and incorporating special features related to the project
• Submitting permits and other required documents for construction projects
• Testing asphalt, concrete, steel, and other materials to ensure they meet standards and specifications
• Monitoring and coordinating construction activities to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets
• Collecting offers for materials, supplies, and subcontractor services related to civil engineering systems
• Supporting the preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts regarding civil engineering costs
• Assisting in preparing and submitting offers, along with other members of the project team, for private and public tenders
• Participating in project meetings and ensuring the proper implementation of civil engineering works
• Preparing and issuing monthly updates to the client or the management team of the company
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless project execution
• Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; A Master’s degree or certifications in relevant areas will be highly welcomed
• At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge of Project Management tools, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
• Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
