Intellectica is seeking a Business Development Manager, on behalf of its client, a pioneering maritime technology company that is transforming the global shipping industry through advanced AI and data-driven solutions, with a presence across Europe and Asia. As part of their continued expansion in Greece, they are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to lead enterprise sales efforts in the region. This role reports directly into the commercial leadership team and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, engage with top-tier maritime organisations, and contribute to the digital evolution of a traditionally complex industry.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Drive strategic growth by owning the full enterprise sales cycle in Greece — from identifying high-potential targets to closing multi-stakeholder deals

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, remote client meetings, and industry networking, building a robust pipeline of maritime innovators

  • Engage deeply with prospects to understand operational challenges and position tailored solutions from the company’s AI-powered optimisation platform

  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and commercial offers that address client requirements and highlight solution value

  • Coordinate closely with technical teams (product, engineering, data science) to ensure client requirements are translated into actionable solutions and delivered effectively

  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers across operational and executive levels, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales journey

  • Feed market intelligence back into internal teams to help shape product development, commercial strategy, and go-to-market priorities

  • Monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly

  • Represent the company externally at industry events, conferences, and within key account networks to elevate brand visibility and thought leadership

  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

 Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; Academic background in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field is a strong advantage

  • 2–3 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in maritime technology, robotics, or deep tech environments

  • Proven ability to develop new business and expand an existing client base

  • Proven success in managing long and complex sales cycles (up to 12 months) involving multiple stakeholders

  • Experience selling complex or technical products, with the ability to translate technical value into business impact

  • Familiarity with SaaS business models and digital transformation in industrial sectors

  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
