Intellectica is recruiting an experienced Accounting Supervisor on behalf of its client, a leading accounting firm known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in financial services. Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will play an integral role in managing the accounting team and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time to maintain client satisfaction.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Supervising the 25-member accounting team, ensuring efficient workflows that support client service
• Monitoring team KPIs and aligning activities with company and client-related goals
• Providing support and guidance to team members on day-to-day client and operational matters
• Reviewing and approving financial statements and reports delivered to clients
• Overseeing internal accounting processes and systems to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Implementing internal controls to safeguard assets and support consistent client delivery
• Analyzing financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements for client benefit
• Coordinating with other departments to maintain seamless service across functions
• Participating in client meetings to discuss financial issues and ensure smooth cooperation
• Any other tasks that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CPA) or a master’s degree in Accounting & Finance is considered a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role
• Experience in accounting or tax advisory is a plus
• Proficiency in Greek GAAP and IFRS
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience using ERP systems and MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Fluent in Greek and English
