Intellectica is recruiting a motivated Accounting Assistant on behalf of a leading company in the defense technology sector and a subsidiary of a prominent industrial group. Based in Attiki, Greece and reporting to the Accounting Supervisor of the company, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting operations, contribute to the accuracy of financial records, and assist in ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory obligations. Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Supporting the day-to-day accounting operations in accordance with Greek GAAP and internal procedures

• Performing accurate data entry of accounting transactions and maintaining organized financial records

• Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT and other tax declarations

• Participating in the monthly and annual closing processes by preparing reconciliations and supporting documentation

• Handling supplier and customer invoices, ensuring timely processing and filing

• Supporting the implementation and use of the company’s ERP system and MyData platform

• Collaborating with external accountants and auditors by providing necessary documentation

• Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role

• Familiarity with Greek accounting standards and tax obligations

• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

• Fluency in Greek and English
