regional senior category planner – football & emerging sports

INTERSPORT Athletics S.A, member of FOURLIS Group, is the exclusive franchisee of INTERSPORT trademark in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania. Currently, we are looking for a Regional Senior Category Planner – Football & Emerging Sports, to join our team! 

Are you passionate about football and ready to shape the future of sports retail? We're looking for an individual to lead the textile, footwear, and hardware categories across our region. This is a dynamic and strategic role where you’ll build market-relevant assortments, drive commercial performance, and elevate INTERSPORT’s brand positioning in football through consumer-centric, data-driven, and regionally tailored category management. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Define and manage the end-to-end regional strategy for football textile, footwear, and hardware categories. 

• Align category plans with global brand direction and adapt to local consumer needs, market dynamics, and business objectives. 

• Identify commercial opportunities and white space in the market. 

• Own and optimize the seasonal category range plan. 

• Create orders to suppliers & in ERP. 

• Coordinate stock planning, allocation, and replenishment across the region. 

• Communication with INTERSPORT's other countries, as well as with all domestic and foreign suppliers. 

• Ensure effective product placement in stores and online (planograms, segmentation, SKU planning). 

• Collaborate cross-functionally with key teams such as Marketing, Omni, VM, Logistics, to align assortment plans with business objectives 

• Manage various ad hoc projects 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite  

• 3-5 years working experience, preferably in the retail sector  

• Excellent communication skills in both Greek & English (both verbal and written) 

• SAP experience 

• Solid knowledge of football culture, consumer behavior and product performance needs
