As the Plant Accounting & Controlling Supervisor you will report directly to the Plant Finance Senior Manager responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting and cost controlling activities in a steel production and processing environment.
Your role
Supervise daily accounting activities ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and internal guidelines. Support finance & accounting processes and cross-functional activities (P2P, VIM, Customs etc)
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for the plant
Maintain strong internal controls in line with corporate standards and audit requirements
Lead the plant’s cost accounting processes including standard costing, cost allocation, and perform variance analysis & execute month-end closing analysis
Oversee inventory accounting, reconciliations, stock valuation and warehouse book control in SAP.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes for plant costs and margins
Collaborate with Operations, Production Planning, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and transparency
Participate in ad hoc projects, process improvements, and financial scenario analysis
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Liaise with Athens HQ Finance Team for reporting, statutory compliance, and internal inquiries
Your profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in plant/industrial finance, cost accounting, or controlling, experience in industrial manufacturing industry will be considered an asset
Experience in supervising or mentoring teams
Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills (Greek & English)
Strong analytical abilities with high attention to detail
