health & safety engineer (3369)

HELLENIC CABLES 

is seeking a Health & Safety Engineer to join our team in Hellenic Cables’ Plant at Corinth, which focuses on the production of high and extra high voltage submarine cables, being one of the most advanced factories in the world.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that the workplace is monitored and is fully in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, rules and regulations

• Put in practice 5S framework to create efficiency and value, schedule and coordinate audits’ timetable

• Design and maintain all Health Safety & Environment regulations and legislation within the company

• Ensure that employees are properly trained are properly trained on health & safety.

• Conduct regular “risk assessments” and safety inspections as required by legislation

• Assess reports from investigations regarding accidents and near-miss incident, records the findings

• Identify potential workplace hazards, access risks and recommends solutions around these issues

• Secures that policies and procedures follow ISO certifications

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in an industrial environment

• Experience in Industrial Maintenance will be an asset

• Excellent Knowledge of MS Office (Ms Project, Excel & Word)

• Excellent Command of English Language 

• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
