Hellenic Cables S.A. is seeking a Health & Safety Engineer to join our Health & Safety department in Thiva’s Plant. 

Role Description

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards, procedures and instructions 

• Manage and carry out regular HSE audits and inspections ensuring timely closure of all identified actions 

• Is responsible for the overall planning, application, control and check of the HSE standards and their certification process 

• Identifiy legal and other requirements (e.g. ISO) and acknowledges all necessary steps for the company's compliance to them 

• Coordinate HSE incidents investigation process ensuring all incidents are investigated and that appropriate, corrective and preventive actions are implemented 

• Ensure proper HSE training of all employees 

• Manage contractors and ensure that they comply with the relevant legal and other HSE requirements 

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering field 

• At least 3years’ professional experience in industrial sector 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations 

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives. 

• Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands, technologies, and market conditions. 

• Excellent  command in Greek & English language (verbal and written communication skills) 

• Experience and training in health & safety administration is preferred 

• Any applicable safety certificates would be an asset
