Halcor, the Copper & Alloys Extrusion Division of ElvalHalcor, is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in delivering accurate financial analysis, participating in budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring data integrity, and providing actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, to join our dynamic Finance team in Athens, Greece.
Role Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
• Participate in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, including coordinating inputs from department heads, consolidating financial data, and ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Develop profitability reports to support management’s decisions.
• Perform expenses control and variances report analysis.
• Work closely with the shared service team to ensure the quality and timeliness of information received at the corporate level, as well as compliance with corporate standards.
• Present financial Information clearly and concisely to management.
• Develop or revise policies and procedures related to functional responsibilities, identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.
• Monitor financial performance and KPIs, identify trends, and recommend data-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and optimize business processes.
• Support internal and external audits on an annual basis.
Requirements:
• Degree in any of the fields: Economics/Mathematical & Physical Sciences/Business Administration, accompanied by a sound grasp of business finance.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Financial Analyst, preferably in an international or manufacturing company.
• Sound knowledge and usage of SAP main modules (SD/FI/CO/MM) to extract data is needed and will be considered a major plus
• Expert Excel skills and usage are expected.
• The ability to immediately adapt and perform based on the desired output while meeting tight deadlines.
• Self-motivation and drive to develop one’s own expertise by taking on greater responsibilities and/or more technically demanding tasks.
• Critical & independent thinking and the ability to challenge the status quo of doing things.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral, in Greek and English.
• Detailed understanding of business and operational concepts and KPIs is sought after and will be highly valued. (Variable/Fixed cost differentiation & underlying drivers, Debt & Interest calculation and effects, Working Capital breakdown & significance of each part, cash flow importance, etc.)
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of BI tools (Qliksense & Power BI) as well as Power Automate will be considered a major advantage.
