We are looking for a Head of Finance to strengthen the finance function and support high-value programmes, contracts and projects. You will work in an international, high-impact environment, contribute to sound financial governance and play a key role in shaping financial processes and controls across the organisation. You are responsible for
Prepare, produce and distribute high-quality financial reports, ensuring accurate records, archives and databases, with a strong focus on delegated budgets
Analyse, review and process complex financial transactions, including commitments, amendments, payments and recoveries
Lead the financial review of upcoming contracts and contractual amendments, ensuring accuracy, compliance and value for money
Review administrative and financial documentation related to projects and programmes, including Consortium & Partnership Agreements, Grant Agreements and Amendments, as well as partners’ financial documentation
Coordinate and lead the year-end cost cut-off exercise, working closely with contract managers to validate inputs and provide clear guidance on cost eligibility and recognition
Independently manage the full lifecycle of internal and external audits, including coordination with auditors and counterparts in other EU bodies, preparation of documentation and follow-up on findings and recommendations
Design, improve and implement financial processes, procedures, reporting tools and dashboards to enhance financial management and efficiency
Provide sound financial advice and ensure compliance with the EU Financial Regulation and applicable internal rules
Collaborate closely with other departments, particularly
Administration, supporting corporate activities such as planning, reporting, financial & budget management, risk management and administration
Your Education & Qualifications are
BSc / MSc in Accounting, Finance or related field
Solid experience in finance, reporting and/or audits within Consulting, Technology, Research Center, EU agencies Private sector, Professional Services or similar organisations
Strong Excel skills and experience with complex data and reporting
Experience in procurement and contract management
Excellent command of written and spoken English

Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within a team
