construction operations manager

You are responsible for

• Oversee and manage all aspects of construction operations and activities
• Lead the technical review of engineering plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with codes and standards
• Ensure that all projects comply with regulatory requirements and company standards Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and regulatory risks associated with engineering and permitting
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively and efficiently
• Lead and mentor construction teams to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards
• Contribute to company-wide sustainability goals by identifying opportunities for environmentally friendly practices within engineering and permitting tasks
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and preparing mitigation plans for potential engineering and permitting challenges
• Coordinate with external contractors, consultants, and vendors as needed
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and permitting staff, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing
• Monitor and report on project progress, and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise
• Monitor and report on budget expenditures related to engineering and permitting tasks
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all engineering and permitting activities, including project plans, permit submissions, and correspondence with regulatory agencies
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure projects are on track and within specifications

Your Education & Qualifications are

• BSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• MSc or Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly preferred
• 8-10 years work experience in engineering, permitting, or project management within the construction, or environmental sectors
• Strong understanding of construction processes, environmental regulations, permitting processes, and engineering standards
• Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
