reservations agent

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Reservations Agent. The successful candidate will support the reservation team in the daily operation, for the continuous reception and registration of hotels reservations in the Property Management System.

Key responsibilities:

• Processing reservations by e-mail, telephone or web platforms.
• Assisting and advising customers who may be choosing from a variety of travel options.
• Making reservations for customers based on their various requirements and budgetary allowances.
• Checking the availability of accommodation on the customers’ desired travel dates.
• Processing payments and sending confirmation details to customers.
• Sorting out any issues that may arise with bookings or reservations.
• Selling and promoting reservation services.
• Answering any questions customers might have about the reservation process.
• Up-selling, when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services or special packages such as upgraded accommodations.
• Providing support to customers who may need to amend or cancel a reservation.
• Archive and filing of all the reservations related records
• Updating PMS with reservations received by the internet or via tour operator.
• Close cooperation with the Sales Department for revenue and availability related issues.
• Other reservations department related activity as per the company’s requirements

 Qualifications

• Higher Education Degree
• Experience working in reservations or public relations, preferably in the hospitality or travel industries.
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
• Full knowledge of English and German language (knowledge of additional language will be appreciated).

Skills and experience:

• Customer-service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Data entry experience.
