On behalf of our client, a fast-growing international SaaS technology company with a global customer base, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer Contractor to join their Data & Analytics team in Athens.

This is an initial 3 month contract opportunity, with strong potential for extension or transition into a permanent role. The successful candidate will support the stabilisation and optimisation of the company’s existing data infrastructure while contributing to ongoing improvements across their modern cloud data stack.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintain and optimise production-grade ELT pipelines within a modern cloud environment.

• Support the migration from dbt Core to dbt Cloud.

• Design and implement scalable data architectures following Medallion principles (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers).

• Develop and maintain data models, transformations and orchestration workflows.

• Implement and improve data quality monitoring and observability processes.

• Collaborate closely with Data, Product and Business stakeholders to support analytics and operational reporting needs.

• Work across platforms and integrations including Snowflake, HubSpot, Heap and Stripe.

• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks and data inconsistencies.

• Contribute to documentation, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the Data team.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.

• Commercial experience with dbt (Core and/or Cloud).

• Proven background in building and maintaining production-grade ELT / ETL pipelines

• Experience designing scalable cloud-based data architectures.

• Strong SQL and Python skills.

• Good understanding of data modelling and modern analytics engineering practices.

• Experience with data quality monitoring and observability concepts.

• Ability to work independently within fast-paced environments.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Availability to start immediately or within the next 2 weeks.
