eu research project manager (hybrid/remote)

Our client is a leading research and innovation company with 15 years of extensive experience in EU-funded projects and innovation Grants (e.g. Horizon Europe) across various sectors. Having a strong focus on technology transfer, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship, they collaborate with industry leaders and academic institutions to drive impactful innovations. They are currently expanding their multidisciplinary team and are looking for a Research Project Manager to join their team in Thessaloniki.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, write, develop and design proposals under European Union research and innovation Grants (e.g. Horizon Europe) across diverse scientific and technological fields
• Track and report project progress, ensuring compliance with funding requirements
• Coordinate, implement, and manage projects, ensuring tasks align with project objectives, deadlines, and milestones
• Communicate with a broad network of researchers and experts within the EU
• Conduct background research by gathering and reviewing content from various sources
• Review, update, proofread, and edit content for proposals and reports
• Contribute to scientific publications as an author or co-author
• Support the expansion of the company’s research portfolio in your area of expertise
• Manage internal or external teams in project implementation and proposal development
• Lead work packages and tasks, including innovation/exploitation, dissemination, communication, pilot deployment, socioeconomic analysis, policy design, and impact assessment

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Humanities, or other relevant scientific fields
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Fluence both in English and Greek
• Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and initiative-driven mindset
• Excellent communication skills for working with international teams in a multicultural environment
