At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World’s 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Commis Sommelier to join our Wine & Beverage team for the Season 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring wine professional to develop expertise in a luxury hospitality environment, supporting the sommelier team across our award-winning outlets.
What You Will Do
Assist in the execution of wine service at the highest standards across all outlets.
Present, open, and serve wines under the guidance of the Sommelier team.
Support guests with wine recommendations and enhance their dining experience.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper setup of wine cellars and storage areas.
Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing wine deliveries.
Ensure accurate stock rotation and support inventory processes.
Maintain and polish all wine service equipment, glassware, and tools.
Support mise en place and service operations on the floor when required.
Participate in tastings, trainings, and briefings to build strong wine knowledge.
Develop understanding of wine regions, grape varieties, and food pairings.
Work closely with the service team to ensure smooth daily operations.
What You Bring
Previous experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality or fine dining is an advantage.
Strong interest in wines, spirits, and beverage service.
Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional sommelier team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
European Passport or legal right to work in Greece.
Fluency in English; Greek is an advantage.
