At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, we are seeking a motivated and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join our Catering team on a maternity leave cover basis. This role will focus on maximizing revenue across all catering business, bringing new clients to the hotel, and ensuring retention while maintaining the hotel’s reputation as a premier luxury destination for events, conferences, and private functions.

You will manage client relationships, actively prospect for new catering opportunities, and ensure seamless coordination between the Sales and Catering teams. Your contribution will be key in achieving revenue targets and enhancing the hotel’s market presence during this temporary assignment.

What You Will Do

  • Actively solicit and book all types of catering business from various leads.

  • Maintain an organized follow-up system for all sales calls through DELPHI.

  • Coordinate sales efforts with the Catering team to ensure optimal utilization of function space and maximum revenue.

  • Conduct property tours with meeting planners and potential clients.

  • Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue and profit while satisfying client needs.

  • Prepare and review Event P&Ls to ensure profitability and retention for each enquiry/event.

  • Represent the hotel professionally with clients and at industry events.

  • Finalize bookings, maximizing revenue through upselling in all relevant areas.

  • Keep the Director of Catering informed of any unusual matters requiring prompt action.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and sales performance, providing updates to the Director of Catering.

  • Assist in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas to increase catering activity, volume, and profit.

  • Support the Director of Catering in achieving segment and property revenue goals while ensuring excellent service.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in luxury hospitality sales, with a focus on catering and events.

  • Strong track record in managing key accounts and achieving revenue targets.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.

  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience with sales systems (DELPHI, OPERA, or similar CRM tools).

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Flexibility to adapt to a temporary role and contribute effectively to the team.
