The Venture Banking Unit serves, as financial partner, innovative high-growth businesses that are expanding rapidly and need the appropriate capital investment or/and other banking solutions/products, to secure profitability and their next stage of growth. With a focus on the innovation economy, Venture Banking Unit also provides startup-centric financial advice, LP Investment and payment solutions, sector insights and acceleration programs, aiming to be an active advocate for its clientele and the innovative ecosystem in Greece & Europe.

As a Senior Associate, you will have direct communication funnel with customers/entrepreneurs and you will lead strategic projects with innovative high-growth companies in Greece & Europe, with a direct report to the Head of Venture Banking Unit and partnering in many projects with Venture Capital Firms and Business Angel Networks.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Evaluate and assess investment opportunities, analyzing the financial performance and growth potential of our clientele.
• Negotiate and structure banking deals helping our clientele to navigate their businesses and achieve profitability and expansion.
• Coordinate internal deal teams and external partners (financial/tax, legal, technical and other advisors) and effectively engage with founders and fund managers.
• Communicate directly with entrepreneurs and provide strategic financial advice and guidance to innovative high-growth companies seeking funding, helping them navigate the complex world of venture financing.
• Stay up-to-date on innovative ecosystem, the industry trends and market conditions to identify new opportunities for our clientele.

You will be a great candidate if you:

• Have at least 5-8 years of relevant work experience in Venture Debt. Venture Capital, SME/New Age Lending within an established investment banking or corporate finance practice.
• Own a Bachelor and postgraduate degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or another quantitative field of study from a top tier University.
• Help the team evaluate new investment opportunities through market research, product reviews, financial analysis, competitive analysis, metrics analysis, customer/user reviews and technical diligence.
• Prepare investment/advisory committee notes and ensure timely execution of all transaction documents.
• Demonstrate impeccable communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) as well as ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Monitoring and managing loan portfolios to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Have a strategic mindset, business acumen, and a passion for supporting innovative entrepreneurship, as well as excellent numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Contribute to the building of a professional, proactive, and performance-driven culture demonstrating team spirit and strong willingness to work in a collaborative working environment.
• Have excellent command of Greek & English languages
